So Yeon Chung, MD Dr. So Yeon Chung is a double board-certified physician inInternal Medicine and Geriatrics. During her Internal Medicine residency in NewJersey, Dr. Chung developed a deep appreciation for building long-term relationships with patients. She was drawn to the holistic nature of primary care—treating the whole person rather than focusing on a single system—which ultimately inspired her to become a primary care physician. Her connection with older adults, their rich life experiences, and the growing medical needs of an aging population led her to pursue advanced fellowship training in Geriatrics. As a geriatrician, Dr. Chung recognized the importance of “well aging”—maintaining health, vitality, and dignity throughout the aging process. This understanding expanded her interests into lifestyle medicine and aesthetics, both of which play key roles in how people feel and function as they age. Driven by this passion, she returned to South Korea—a global leader in aesthetic medicine—where she completed additional training in the aesthetics field. Dr. Chung believes that medicine should be personalized, taking into account each individual's environment, lifestyle, and personal values. Her integrative approach bridges medical science, preventative care, and aesthetic wellness to help patients live healthier, more confident lives at every stage.
